Have you ever wondered what are some of the best fonts to use if you’re using Canva and you’re in real estate? Stick with me. Let’s get into it. Hey, everybody, Katie Lance is here. And so I’m so excited because first of all, I love Canva, and I love Canva, especially for real estate agents. Today, I’m going to share with you a few fonts that you might consider when you are creating some Canva creations. Now, I do want to say there are some great templates within Canva. In fact, we just did a video recently with my favorite real estate template. We’ll make sure to link to that below. So check that out.
But as you’re using templates or creating something from scratch, I’m often asked, What are the best fonts? Or what fonts look really good together. So today, I’m going to share with you three types of fonts that you can check out. And by the way, these are all free. So I know there’s a free version of Canva and a paid version. Some of you might have the free, and some of you might have the paid, but these are all free and available to anyone.
Canva Fonts for Real Estate Agents
1. Open Sans Extra Bold Open Sans Extra Bold is very simple, and I’m a big believer that less is more. This is a really great font, especially for text. So we’re going to get into fonts that are great for headers or subheaders. If you are looking for just a really simple font for text, such as adding the number of bedrooms, number of baths, or simple supporting text on your graphic, Open Sans Extra Bold is perfect. It’s clean, straightforward, and one of my go-to’s when it comes to real estate.
2. League Spartan This is an oldie but goodie. I have used League Spartan for years, and I specifically like it because it’s much bolder and great for a headline font. Let’s say you’re looking for a font for “just listed,” “just sold,” “open house,” or creating some sort of graphic within Instagram or Canva for Instagram where you’re sharing something like, “Three ways to get your home ready for the market.” You want it big and bold, and League Spartan is a great font for that. It also works really well with Open Sans Extra Bold, making it a fantastic pairing for headings and supporting text.
3. Cursive Fonts/Handwriting Fonts For the third category, I want to talk about cursive or handwriting fonts, and I have three favorites for this:
- Feeling Passionate
- Brittany
- Twister
These three cursive fonts are wonderful as supporting fonts. For example, you might have “just” in League Spartan and “listed” in Brittany or Twister. Mixing and matching fonts can be fun and effective, but don’t overdo it. Stick to a couple that you really like and use them consistently. The cursive fonts can also be used in lowercase to change things up a bit, while bold fonts like League Spartan work well in all caps.
Bonus Tip
If you have a Canva Pro account, you can add any of these fonts to your brand kit. This makes it easy to consistently use your chosen fonts and colors across all your designs without having to search for them each time. Of course, it’s not a must-have, but it’s a nice bonus if you do have a paid account.
